About:
Charles O. Pilkey is a former geologist turned freelance artist, writer and illustrator. The inspiration for The Magic Dolphin, obtained right here from a childhood memory of a day when he and his father found a pilot whale washed ashore on a Sapelo seashore. With the help of buddies, they set the animal free.
Although the Magic Dolphin is a chunk of fiction, the events described inside the e-book are scientifically and/or historically appropriate.
Orrin H. Pilkey is the James B. Duke Professor Emeritus of Geology on the Nicholas College of the Environment at Duke Faculty. He has visited seashores on all seven continents and has written quite a few books about the way in which ahead for seashores in an age of rising seas.
